The sewing machine is an item or instrument that is still usedtoday in everyday life, can save many hours of work and is able tomake high fashion clothes. The sewing machine is considered one of the most productive inventions that man took place.

For thousands of students the sewing machine was born in 1970and was designed by Thomas Saint, a cabinetmaker in London, according to records of the time it was said that this sewing machine was able to stitch a single thread chain, which isfascinating to time, also had a forked needle running through thehole that made the Lenz. But many still doubt whether or not he was the inventor.

Later on in 1810, was a German named Krems who would give life to the needle eye on the tip, the needle is the one usually used for sewing on buttons or baste pants or why not hemming.

Although today this style needle is very popular because it is able to solve basic problems, that time was not widely accepted, itwould come in 1830 when the Viennese tailor Maderspeger built a machine, and almost simultaneously in France BarthelemyThimonnier built the first sewing machine that was recognizedworldwide. The first consisted of sewing machine needle, tonguefunction was ignited on the web, but as the latter did not have atransport system, was moved by hand. Although this inventionseemed insignificant to many, it was of great importance in themilitary industrial as Thimonnier Bathelemy sewing up their industry which had the first customer to the French military. Themilitary uniform was made up in a boom to their sewing machineswere destroyed by their workers who were fearful of losing theirjobs.

  2. Singer included subject's foot, a fixture with spring pressure to grab the fabric from the base of the machine.

It has several characteristics that determine their effectiveness and efficiency when running a seam. A normal needle is divided into the following parts:

Heel is the part that attaches to the handle at the bottom of the bar arm. It has a round shape and sometimes one side is flat, which facilitates exact positioning of the needle.
Cone is the end of the heel, its edge is rounded for easyinsertion into the bar.
Trunk is the body of the needle.
Slots, the channel is outlined in the needle body, its function is to hold the seam during the passage of tissue.
Eye and tip, the eye is the hole where the wire is located, its shape is ovoid. Under the eye, this tip, and this should always be sharp for a great job.
